Forage at Wildekrans restaurant offers a truly unique dining experience. The chefs source local artisanal and indigenous ingredients and prepare them using old world techniques and modern creativeness. The inspiration behind the Forage concept is drawn from the 1800s when the Khoisan (Indigenous people of the Northern Cape and a mixture of the original San hunter-gatherers and the later-arriving KhoiKhoi) foraged the land for their daily food.

The unique ethos aims to reflect the rare fauna, flora and culinary heritage of the Overberg region. Located on the Wildekrans Wine Estate, a picturesque 1 hour drive from Cape Town (15 minutes from Kleinmond), the chefs have access to over 1000ha of indigenous fynbos, special wild weeds and home-grown edibles that are highlighted on their menus. Particular care is taken to create and pair dishes that complement the fine wines produced on Wildekrans Wine Estate.
