About
Umdoni Park, a sanctuary named after the Umdoni tree, was established by Sir Frank Reynolds and presented to the nation in 1920 to preserve the indigenous fauna and flora. One of the last remaining Coastal forest areas on the KZN coast.
Today, the Park offers: Walking, running and cycling trails, weekly Parkrun & My Run, Horse stabling & riding and excellent birding sites which are all perfect for appreciating the profusion of fauna and Flora to be enjoyed in this part of the world.
A landmark restaurant operates 7 days a week in the clubhouse, well known as one of the best eateries in the area with a view like none other. The Upmarket Botha House Guesthouse (11 rooms) and rustic Forest Cottage (Sleeps 16) make for varied options of accommodation. Weddings and private parties can be arranged to suit your taste.
Umdoni Park is also home to one of the most spectacular golf courses in South Africa. The 18 Hole golf course is ranked top 80 in South Africa, renowned for its natural beauty, wildlife, spectacular views and challenging terrain.
